Results: More than half of the participants (57%) were ≤ 59 years old and about 56.3% of them were females. The mean knowledge score was (6.5±1.6). Most of the participants (97.5 %), were found to be storing insulin vials properly. Arm was the most common site of insulin injection, while 297 (92.5 %) study participants rotated the injection sites. The practice of cleaning injection site was practiced by 270 (83.3%) participants. Majority of patients (95.7%) injected insulin on regular basis. About half (49.5%) of the participants did home blood glucose monitoring regularly, and 143 (44%) patients kept a snack with them in case of need. Knowledge of type-2 diabetic patients about insulin use had significant association with educational level, occupation, marital status, diabetes and insulin use duration, frequency of follow up and visiting diabetes educator.
